3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER

3 & 4 MAY 2025

5PM, 10 AM & 12 NN MASSES

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART

Merciful Jesus, I consecrate myself today and always to Your Most Sacred Heart.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore, that I may ever love You more and more.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like Yours.

Amen.

(10AM) ENTRANCE: THINE BE THE GLORY

1.

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son.

Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.

Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,

Keep the folded grace clothes where Thy body lay.

Chorus:

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son.

Endless is the vict’ry,

Thou o’er death has won.

2.

Lo!  Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb.

Lovingly He greets us, scatters fear and gloom.

Let the Church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,

For her Lord now liveth, death hath lost its sting.

3.

No more we doubt Thee, glorious Prince of Life!

Life is naught without Thee, aid us in our strife.

Make us more than conqu’rors, through Thy deathless love.

Bring us safe through Jordan with Thy pow’r and love.

(10AM) OFFERTORY: TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU

Chorus:

Take this, all of you.

Eat of this, My flesh.

Take this, is My blood,

Shed for sinners all.

For My life I give,

And My love I share:

Trust and believe in me.

1.

Truly I say, My brethren:

Should you not drink My blood,

Should you not eat My body,

You have no life in you.

2.

Work for the food that’s lasting,

Work not for food that spoils.

Work for the bread from heaven,

And gain eternal life.

3.

I am the Resurrection,

I am the Bread of Life.

He who has faith enduring,

Will live for evermore.

(10AM) COMMUNION: CHRIST BE OUR LIGHT

1.

Longing for light, we wait in darkness,

longing for truth we turn to you,

Make us your own, your holy people,

light for the world to see.

Refrain:

Christ be our light!

Shine in our hearts, shine through the darkness,

Christ be our light!

shine in your church, gathered today,

2.

Longing for peace, our world is troubled,

longing for hope, many despair,

Your word alone has pow'r to save us,

make us your living voice.

3.

Longing for food, many are hungry,

longing for water, many still thirst,

Make us your bread, broken for others,

shared until all are fed.

4.

Longing for shelter, many are homeless,

longing for warmth, many are cold,

Make us your building, sheltering others,

walls made of living stone.

5.

Many the gifts, many the people,

many the hearts that yearn to belong,

Let us be servants to one another,

making your kingdom come.

(10AM) THANKSGIVING: YOU SHALL BE MY WITNESSES

Chorus:

You shall be My witnesses,

Unto the ends of the earth.

Witnessing to My truth and to My love.

1.

If you follow My footsteps,

You shall be My witness.

If you take up your cross and follow Me,

And do not be afraid, but believe in Me.

2.

If you abide in Me,

You shall be My witness.

For with Me in you, You will bear fruit in plenty,

A fruit that will remain, a fruit that will last.

3.

If you love one another,

You shall be My witness.

For then everyone will know that you are Mine,

When you love one another in truth, as I have loved you.

4.

If you are filled with the Spirit,

You shall be My witness.

What to say will be given to you, so do not be afraid,

For He who is the Spirit of your Father will speak in you.

(10AM) RECESSIONAL: TO JESUS CHRIST OUR SOVEREIGN KING

1.

To Jesus Christ, our Sovereign King,

Who is the world’s salvation.

All praise and homage do we bring,

And thanks and adoration.

Chorus:

Christ Jesus, Victor!

Christ Jesus, Ruler!

Christ Jesus, Lord and Redeemer!

2.

Thy reign extend, O King benign,

To every land and nation.

For in Thy kingdom, Lord divine,

Alone we find salvation.

3.

To Thee and to Thy Church, great King,

We pledge our hearts’ oblation.

Until before Thy throne we sing,

In endless jubilation.

(12NN) ENTRANCE: EASTER SONG

1.

My Lord, He died for a kingdom,

To redeem the hearts of men,

He has risen from His sleep,

He lives again, Alleluia!

Chorus:

Sing Alleluia, the Lord is rise

He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

2.

My Lord came forth like the morning

With the splendour of the sun

Came triumphant from the womb

From the darkness of the tomb

The victory won, Alleluia!

3.

My Lord united our mountains,

With the everlasting hills,

Now the seasons and the sea,

Sing His song of victory

Rock and rills, Alleluia!

4.

My Lord renewal all creation,

That had waited late and long,

Now we all with one accord,

Live is our song, Alleluia!

(12NN) OFFERTORY: FEED MY LAMBS

1.

Feed My lambs My son feed My sheep

If you love Me do not sleep

In the fields My son work and weep

Feed My lambs My son feed My sheep

2.

Someone questioned him quietly

Aren’t you Peter of Galilee

I can tell you by your speech you see

Peter swore and said it’s not me

3.

Peter heard the cock when it crew

As he left he wept and he knew

Ev’ry one of us is guilty too

Yet Christ died for us me and you

(12NN) COMMUNION: I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

1.

I am the Bread of life, He who comes to Me shall not hunger,

He who believes in Me shall not thirst,

No one can come to Me, Unless the Father draw him.

Chorus:

And I will raise him up, And I will raise him up,

And I will raise him up on the last day.

2.

The bread that I will give, Is My flesh for the life of the world,

And he who eats of this bread, He shall live for ever,

He shall live for ever.

3.

Unless you eat, Of the flesh of the Son of Man

And drink of His blood, and drink of His blood,

You shall not have life within you.

4.

I am the Resurrection, I am the Life,

He who believes in Me, even if he die,

He shall live for ever.

5.

Yes, Lord, we believe, That You are the Christ,

The Son of God, Who has come

Into the world.

(12NN) THANKSGIVING: BECAUSE HE LIVES

1.

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus

He came to love, heal and forgive

He lived and died to buy my pardon

An empty grave is there to prove

My Saviour lives

Chorus:

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know, He holds the future

And life is worth the living

Just because He lives

2.

And then one day, I'll cross that river

I'll fight life's final war with pain

And then as death gives way to vict'ry

I'll see the lights of glory

And I'll know He lives
